Heroic Progression

Wednesday Night's raid went really well with minimal wipes and great results killing two progression bosses Butcher and Twins.  We had some really great attempts at Brack and I think we will be able to do this boss next attempt with a bit of a shuffle around with roles. Great Job Guys!!!

CONGRATULATIONS RIFTIES!!!What a great job everyone did on Imp.  Moving right along to Heroic HM on Wednesday hopefully we can get a few heroic bosses down while we are still on a total High from downing imp.  It was poetry in motion I was so proud. It was great to hear our raid leader Aly 2.0 so happy with us.

WHAT NEXT

The guild leader got a job and it starts this weekend, so it is up to the guild and the officers to decide what to do on Sunday nights.  We've found the Sunday Night raids haven't been that great but I encourage you to persist. We've decided to do the progression Night on Wednesday because we have more attendance on that night. The general consensus seemed to be this week that Sundays are chill out days and it's a bit hard to get into the raiding mindset. Monday nights will be alt runs and for people who want to gear up and perhaps join the main raid team in heroic HM.

We did venture into BRF last week this was a reality check that we just weren't ready to tackle that content this week. Not to worry the old Yogic saying "for the arrow to move forward the bow must bend back". Meaning sometimes you have to go back a few steps before you can really propel forward.

We are a casual guild and those of us who are really keen for personal progression have been smashing through the content in PuGs and with Real Life friends so there's no immediate rush.  I tend to get a bit overly excited about raiding progression and visions of Riftwarriors doing Mythic raiding. This is ofcourse way in the future and in reality we may not ever step foot into a mythic raid. However, we are just five people shy of having a big enough team to at least get the gear and perhaps have a go at mythic just to see what it looks and feels like.  Sometimes in my excitement and getting carried away with the idea of having actual statues in my garrison I've dragged the guild into situations where failure has occurred.  

I know everyone who knows me well knows that I have a bit of "thing" about the word failure. I tend to see it more as learning and part of moving forward. I'm happy to stay for hours at a time wiping on one boss fight, refining my own playing, believe me there a heap of room for improvement, like a heap. It isn't until someone brings my attention to the fact that I'm actually the only one having fun that I realise it's just not fun for most people. That's just me getting a bit of tunnel vision.  This is why I like Aly 2.0 and Bashy so much because, they are pretty blunt with me and that snaps me out of it. I can't tell you the amount of times Bashy has said "...Now Krin, we are a CASUAL raiding guild".

If you want to bring up a tough topic tell one of the officers, they are all pretty good at making stuff happen and really good at giving me a reality check.

Any practice makes perfect. We'll get some more gear for our tanks and everyone else in Heroic HM then go back and smash through BRF, I'm sure.  Our raid leader Aly 2.0 is busy getting all the best strats and having practice in there right now. Hang in there everyone just keep trying. 

Great Job on the recruiting lately, Vonds has picked up a few good players with awesome names that we are going to have so much fun with on TS and we've had a few people busy with real life things. Lets hope next week see's some fun times for the Rifties :)

RESULT OF GUILD ORGY

Not as many people turned up for this months guild orgy. As a result I don't have any cool screenshots to share.  We did have a bit of an officers meeting after the raid that didn't happen on Sunday afternoon.  Here are the resulting decisions and planned events.

1. Wednesday Night is going to be our Heroics Night
2. Sunday Afternoon is going to be our Normal Run Night this will include the new content. This means we will be starting Blackrock Foundry  this Sunday at 6pm Server time.
3. We are going to use Thursday Nights to recruit new dedicated raiders who can make the raid times consistently we need 3 healers a Mage and a Warlock
4. We are going to start another raid team. The time for this will be Monday 9pm Server time and will start in approximately 2 weeks. Its going to be exciting because I'm going as a healer, bring plenty of pots and bandages.
5. We are going to run some social events for guildies and other players to join. Watch for details.
